The BMW M2 Racing Cup is back: Vallelunga welcomes the return of Pinetti Motorsport, with a series of new, unmissable challenges

After a month-long break, the BMW M2 CS Racing Cup Italy is back in the spotlight, picking up where we left off with the opening round in Misano, where Pinetti Motorsport stole the show.

With all eyes on Maranello driver Marco Zanasi, this current leader in the overall standings is aiming to consolidate his advantage with the first BMW M2 CS Racing in the Colorno team. Last year Zanasi won Race 1 and came second in Race 2. Expectations for him this year are sky-high.

Equal attention should also be given to Victor Briselli, who dominated the Romagna weekend and is now leading in the provisional standings for the Hankook Trophy. However, for the driver from Castelnovo Monti, the event at the Vallelunga racetrack could prove particularly challenging. Adverse weather conditions over the last few weeks have hampered the team’s preparation, making the upcoming race even tougher. The test session usually held prior to the weekend was even skipped entirely.

The Parma-based team is also expecting great things from its young driver Emma Segattini, who is currently third in the Under 26 standings and eighth in the overall standings. The track’s characteristics seem particularly suited to her driving style. Completing theĀ  team from the Emillia region, Giovanni Stefanin and Nicola Tagliapietra are both also set to offer high-level performances.
