Victor Briselli – a passion for engines that defies all barriers
Racing driver and business owner, Victor Briselli has always had speed coursing through his veins and an unstoppable passion for racing. So, when a serious accident left him wheelchair-bound, not even this setback could dampen his enthusiasm or determination to get involved.
This year, with the Pinetti Motorsport team, he competed in the BMW 2 Cup aboard his BMW Gran Turismo. After a cautious debut in the previous season, Briselli tackled the new season with grit and resolve, showing that nothing can get in the way of his willpower.
A new opportunity to race
The injury to his spinal column certainly did not quell his desire to race. Quite the opposite, in fact. It motivated him to look for new ways to engage in his love for motorsports. His story is an example of how courage and determination can turn difficulties into opportunities.
During his first test with the BMW on the Varano de Melegari circuit, he was offered special controls, similar to those used by Alessandro Zanardi in his races. However, Briselli decided not to use them. His goal was to develop a bespoke system that met his own unique needs and a project that could bring innovation to other drivers with disabilities too.

And when he is not on the racetrack? Victor Briselli, in association with SIM Maranello, is working on the development of advanced simulation systems designed specifically for people with disabilities. These tools not only help him train at home, they also give him an opportunity to work, at SIM Maranello, in close contact with a team of engineers. They analyse the telemetry data together, examining every detail to enhance performance. Inspired by Formula 1 technologies, solutions are adopted, adapted, and perfected to shave off every fraction of a second possible.
