Steven Giacon took home a win at the Mugello circuit in the fourth round of the BMW M2 CS Racing Cup Italy. The driver for Tecnodomsport by Ceccato Racing proved himself as the fastest on the track during both the qualifiers and the two races in Tuscany. In Race 1, Gigi Ferrara (V-Action by Nanni Nember) and Marco Zanasi (Pinetti Motorsport by Autoclub) reached the podium, with Zanasi also taking second place in Race 2, ahead of Stefano Stefanelli (Esseracing by Autoeur Brandini).
Race 1
A significant victory was secured by Giacon, who came out top after wheel-to-wheel action with Gigi Ferrara. The race did not offer any major twists until 10 minutes from the end, when Vullo was forced to withdraw with a puncture. A good race for Marco Zanasi, who made it onto the podium. Also worthy of note was the sixth position secured by just-turned eighteen-year-old Emma Segattini (S.C. Angelo Caffi by Autotorino), who came in before Hankook trophy winner Giovanni Stefanin (Pinetti Motorsport by Autoclub).
Race 2
Everything played out the same way in Race 2, with Giacon securing a double win at Mugello, and Marco Zanasi and Stefano Stefanelli also reached the podium, as a result of the unlucky punctures suffered by Jody Vullo and Gigi Ferrara. Fourth position went to Tobia Zarpellon, while Emma Segattini climbed one position against her Race 1 results, closing fifth.
Hankook Trophy
In the Hankook Trophy, Nicola Tagliapietra and Giovanni Stefanin secured first and second place respectively, while Victor Briselli completed the podium trio.
See you soon at the Mugello Circuit, at the next race of the BMW M2 CS Racing Cup Italy, scheduled for 30 September and 1 October.
